The date will be announced soon on TEDxUniWA social media accounts.

The health and safety of all participants is our number #1 priority, and therefore, we are well-prepared for two plans:

a) The venue will be announced a few days before the event. However, no audience will be allowed in the building, as the event will be live-streamed on a digital platform with the help of the organizing committee and the production crew. All participants, including speakers and the TEDxUniWA committee members, will be tested against COVID-19 before they enter the building.

b) In case of a strict lockdown, we will not be able to provide a venue, and talks and performances will be held remotely. Every participant will be at their own place with their personal equipment (PC/Laptop, camera and microphone) and will connect to the event virtual platform.

Why a TEDx event during a pandemic?

  • Especially in these tough times, events on significant global topics, such as education, technology, culture, and environment, which all aim to spread innovative ideas and colourful messages, are more important than ever.
  • TEDx events motivate their audience to see the world from a more optimistic perspective.
  • Life goes on and we should learn to adapt to new conditions.
  • Keep calm and never stop dreaming, creating, and making progress.

How can I join the TEDxUniWA organizing committee?

The organizing committee has already been established. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and the absence of an audience in our venue, we will not collaborate with any additional volunteers. We encourage anyone who is interested to stay tuned for the next year’s TEDx.
